What problem are you trying to solve?

tab-key-is-disruptive.mp4

Hi,

  1. I often use jitsi remote control
  2. Over the remote control, I often have to type commands into bash CLI which involves frequent tab followed by enter
  3. The same sequence often switch between the clickable components in jitsi itself and often disrupts the CLI, i.e. I get switch to another user's camera etc

What solution would you like to see?

I'm able to compile my own version. What can I do to make jitsi ignore the tab key but still transmit it to the remote?

I'm not sure if the modification should be done in jitsi-meet or jitsi-meet-electron, but I found some references to 'tab' in jitsi-meet, so opening here.

Thanks!

Is there an alternative?
