Quite a critical piece of info.

Seems they are over-written by the latest value in the list of objects.

Something like this?

mixin({a: {aa: 'aa'}}, {a: {bb: 'bb'}}, {a: {aa: 'cc'}}, {a: {aa: 'xx'}});
{ a: { aa: 'xx', bb: 'bb' } }

The readme does mention defaults-deep, which doesn't overwrite properties, but keep the first one instead.
