Hi @daenney @trwnh @tesaguri,

First, thank you for your contributions to the JSON-LD work via various issues! In discussing a couple of those on today's JSON-LD Community Group call, I proposed we schedule a call with ActivityPub folks to discuss where JSON-LD could be improved (in terms of documentation, examples, but especially specification language) to help improve adoption and understanding. We'd also be happy to just hear your stories and hear how it's going with your projects and plans--and where our communities might overlap and collaborate (also noticing FEPs like https://codeberg.org/fediverse/fep/src/branch/main/fep/c893/fep-c893.md where are communities may overlap).

At any rate, I thought we could start with a chat here and if there's adequate interest we can schedule something in the coming month or so.

Our calls are usually bi-weekly. Our next one should be April 23rd: https://www.w3.org/groups/wg/json-ld/calendar/ (we post both WG and combined CG/WG calls there, fwiw).

Hi @BigBlueHat, I would certainly be open to liaison with the JSON-LD folks in whatever manner deemed appropriate! This can take the form of an agenda item on the April 23rd meeting, or it might take place as a special topic call (possibly on the same day or immediately after, as the day and timeslot seem to be vaguely and broadly free if I had to hazard a guess based on other meetings).

For next steps, I am going to post to the SocialCG mailing list and raise awareness or gather interest there. In the event that there is insufficient interest, we can at least have open asynchronous dialogue through whichever discussion channels seem appropriate.

@BigBlueHat Silly question perhaps, but how does one join? Everything seems to be behind W3 member logins, which I do not have.

@daenney sorry for the delay here. I've been trying to sort this out and it looks like it's currently "members only" because I edited our usual recurring members call...which seems to be stuck as members only...without a way to override that per event.

I'll keep working on sorting that out--and may have to just make a replacement event and make it publicly visible. At any rate, that's the intent, so I'll re-post here once that's sorted out.

Hi @BigBlueHat, thanks for bringing it up! However, it's unfortunate that I think my timezone (UTC+9) isn't compatible with everyone else's.

(Also, I haven't been engaged in this kind of calls on SocialCG's side before, and I consider myself a mere occasional meddler in issue trackers, so I'm not sure if I'd deserve involvement here, frankly.)
