Looks like incorporating AVIF into the Qt image formats library has been stalled since 2020. I don't see any effort being made to fix that. Until incorporation, we will not support this format. Doesn't seem like anyone is too interested in supporting JXL, could be a licensing issue. |

Keepassxc is awesome and it is the dream password manager of any techie or power user, for so many different reasons. It would make perfect sense for the internal image viewer to support avif images, due to how efficient they are when compressed. They take up much less space meaning you can have a lot of images in your database without ballooning it up in size. As of right now, if I tried to view an avif image saved in my database it opens the image up using my image viewer on my computer, but the downside of this is that it copies that image to a temp folder on your computer in order to do this. Would be great to have support for avif (and if possible jxl) as those are more modern formats used by power users, the types of people who love keepassxc! Just an idea, I do not know how hard it would be to add this
