Nice insight, global politics extend way beyond the war in Middle East. |

Hello,
First and foremost, thank you for creating this tool. It is impressive and so informative. It can really help people better understand global developments.
I wanted to flag something I noticed regarding the Africa region. At the moment, the continent appears relatively empty, aside from Sudan, the Horn of Africa, and an alert in the Sahel. This presentation may unintentionally suggest that there are no other major conflicts or geopolitical crises taking place across the continent.
For example, the ongoing conflict in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo has significant regional and international implications, particularly in relation to the Washington peace process and the billions of dollars in strategic mineral interests and investment at stake. The absence of this conflict, and potentially others across the continent, creates a gap in how current global hotspots are represented and also limits understanding of how interconnected these crises are. This is especially important in regions where raw minerals are deeply embedded in global trade networks and supply chains, directly linking local conflict dynamics to international economic and political interests.
I would be very interested in understanding the methodology to determine which conflicts appear on the map. If helpful, I would also be glad to think collaboratively about how coverage of Africa could be strengthened.
Let me know what you think!
