What opportunities are there for Symbology (Styling and labeling)?

With some effort you can configure your own symbol renderer instead of the default. At the moment the way to do this is to have the Koop data provider set a renderer property on geojson.metadata. This appears to be undocumented right now, but it is the same as setting other metadata properties shown here. The spec for symbology renderers is documented here.
