The RTL-SDR will drift in frequency. This application is meant to be running permanently, and it might be necessary to calibrate the system automatically once in a while.

Look into kalibrate-rtl for automatic calibration.

kalibrate-rtl can be used against EGSM in Norway (kal -s EGSM, kal -c [channel with highest power]). Got some ppm value, had some difficulty in verifying it.

Can probably tear out functions for finding channels and for finding PPM given a channel, and choose channel with highest power on a pre-defined band (e.g. EGSM).
