since those are fedora linux-system-roles and Fedora is shipping btrfs for 3 releases now as default is there a plan for supporting btrfs as a type ?

We plan to add support for btrfs in the future, blivet (the library we use for storage management in the role) supports btrfs, but we currently don't have a specific time frame for this feature.
