It would perhaps be nice if random crewmembers were occasionally offered objectives to complete during a round.
You should have the option of rejecting this entirely if you do not want red/green text to display at the end, though our policy would likely make them entirely optional anyway.

These objectives should only be received by a small number of people, and not occur in every single round (especially as our pool of objectives will necessarily be somewhat shallow upon implementation).

Preferably these should be things which could potentially cause minor crew conflict, but not provide a license to murder someone.
If it makes you look a little shifty or annoys heads of staff, those are probably good things.

Some of these should be generic and could be received by any crew member.

  • Get a specific number of crew to sign a document customised by yourself (a petition, a union contract, a business proposal, or something else).
  • Eat a specific organ (or just eat player meat), without giving you the license to actually kill someone. This should probably exclude morgue corpses somehow.
  • Make sure that a specific crewmate does not leave on the shuttle (an escape pod is fine).
  • Make sure that the AI evacuates the station at the end of the round.
  • Evacuate the station while holding a specific pet in a pet carrier (or at least have it on the shuttle, but that makes it significantly easier).
  • More suggestions are required before we can make this a reality.

Some of these could be job-specific, though I have no examples to list at present.

You should get the option of rerolling once or refusing the objective early on.
Not all of these need to have mechanical flags-- some can just be RP.
Only a few crew should get these roles, not everyone.

ideas--

Under Command Review (head of staff only.)
Centcomm is lighting a fire under your ass. You must see to it that your department achieves maximum [productivity/profit/efficiency] at any cost.

(encourages being a heel head of staff.)

Hero
You will be a force for justice on the station. Keep a secret identity. Oppose cruelty. No guns!

Capitalist
End the game with a certain amount of credits to your name.

Organiser
unionise the crew? (I've been thinking this might be best as like... a sort of more rp-focused version of Rev honestly. I think it could have meat and potatoes as a round type of its own.)

Connoseur
sample [number] of different [food/drink items] by the end of the round.

Monster slayer
Defeat a great beast, and make sure everyone hears the tale!

Jilted Genius
Make them see, make them ALL see! Construct the ultimate [machine/device/creation] to show them all!

Tragicomedy
Die in a spectacularly funny way, with as many people as possible witnessing it.

I was also going to return here to add a “earn money” related one.
It might be better posed as “earn x credits on top of your salary” so that it requires you to beg, earn, borrow, or steal rather than start as high-paid command staff and drag out the round for long enough.

We could also have one specifically to obtain gold bars, though that’s harder if mining isn’t working on it.

Fill Quotas: “make sure someone leaves the station in custody”
probably limited to security, but maybe not?
