Support for minSDK 8

Would it be possible to add support for minSdkVersion 8?

Hi,

this is currently not a priority for us as Android 2.x is getting a more and more tiny part of the market. However, we are open to contributions. This should not be too hard. I think the most challenging part will be to replace the animation part with the nine-old-android animation support library.
