Keeping a legit license activated without sppsvc?

So.. A few years ago W10 got updated and that broke patchPAE.
I found out that Windows Product Policy Editor could also work to the same ends, but a requirement for it is to keep sppsvc disabled.
And that breaks activation. Is there any way around it?

I'm curious why you'd need to edit product policy these days though
