When can sysadmins expect a setting to disable ServiceHost background process?

As an administrator on a multi-user HPC like system, I absolutely do not want MATLAB leaving processes running after termination.

When will an environment variable be available to instruct MATLAB to terminate ServiceHost on shutdown of the main matlab process?

Thanks for your feedback, we're looking into what the best solution is for this, and a bunch of other similar use cases. I'm afraid I don't have a timeline that I can share right now though.
