Or a reference way to the top. As scale: n m is equivalent to transform: scale(n m) but way shorter and easier understandable it may want to be pushed more.

I do. But the references on the transform page are way down at See also and might be missed by a careless viewer. My suggestion would be to mention these at the top or at least just below the Syntax section as alternativ syntax.
