Please stop 'rolling out' this extension (installing it automatically, with no warning)--it breaks many people's repos, and provides no benefit.

Please stop forcing this extension on users. It breaks things that it shouldn't, and is of very poor quality overall. We see no benefit to this thing, and have no idea what problem it's trying to solve. All we know is that so far we've invested a lot of time troubleshooting suddenly broken monorepos, only to find out this was being pushed out to users with asking permission to install itself.

I've unistalled this several times, but it keeps coming back. At present there is no practical way to blacklist an extension in VS Code. Please don't tell me to put that setting in my config file--you state clearly that the setting is only temproary, until it's fully rolled out. What am I supposed to do then? It will keep coming back, like a Zombie virus.

Pushing this out to users without permission, in the terrible state it's in, makes me feel like I'm being attacked by Microsoft. I didn't ask for this, and I don't want it. Please stop forcing it on me. Please, please STOP.

Sorry that you are having issue with this extension. Please tell us what is failing for you.

You can pin and install a older version of the Python extension, using the install another version command from the gear icon.

The reason we built this extension is to support newer environment managers and to easier way for community to contribute to building and supporting existing environment managers. We have been testing this extension for over half a year before we pushed it out to more users.

I am going to close this issue, as you can use the workaround I mentioned above if you want to stick to the old experience.
