special character handling

I noticed when I use MultiMC it does not pick up my credentials. so I tried to go into the setting and manually add my details but the password field does not seems to support the special character @ so I can not authenticate myself. can we get it where the field accepts special characters, or have it find the correct stuff while using MultiMC or am I doing something wrong here. it found my credentials using the vanilla launcher.
