Mixer panel causes unpredictable "jerky" resizing when used side-by-side with other panels

Description with steps to reproduce

1. Place the Mixer panel side-by-side with another panel (e.g. Percussion panel)
2. Drag to resize the panels horizontally
3. Once the drag crosses a certain point, the resizing becomes unpredictable

Additional context

Looks like this has been a problem for as long as the new Mixer has been around. For most panels this isn't a huge deal, but it can cause some frustration when using the new percussion panel in particular.
