`append` to `CommtimentTree` crashes in `wasm32`

When compiled for wasm32, the append method of CommitmentTree crashes after the first two insertions, i.e. the first time the function Node::combine is called

An update on this, on Namada v201.0.5(e3e492d5869ddc1871d10ffe45e2fefe6118378e) it seems like compiling this function into the wasm module now leads to some sort of infinite loops with the transaction eventually running out of gas
