Feature request

Which Nextcloud Version are you currently using: 30.0.5

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

I want to create a chat room using NC Talk to bring together an international team. Not each person is capable to read/write any language. The translation system in talk is nice but somewhat cumbersome to use. You have to select each message, click on translate, select the appropriate target language in a modal and click on translate. You have no context anymore and you as a user are responsible to bring the single statements into a logical order.

Describe the solution you'd like
The solution would consist of multiple sub-issues:

  • Make the translation available in the hover menu (so, you can avoid entering the three-dot menu)
  • Define a per-user default target language (the user can define that he wants to translate anything to e.g. French)
  • Define per-user spoken languages (the user can speak e.g. French and English)
  • Allow in-place translation in the chat flow (eventually with marking about automated translation and a way to look at original message)
  • Allow auto-translation per room (so that all messages not in the spoken-languages list are translated in the background)

Describe alternatives you've considered
Manual translation and combining is possible but cumbersome.
