yep, good to get a Security release out sooner rather than later, then move to a php 8.x release for subsequent releases |

yes, lets have a target. I'm a bit hectic elsewhere so happy to work to your recommendations here. Lets get to 706 or we'll never release |

@anonymoususer72041 you want to merge #750 first to improve testing? |

@RussH are you okay if we set a deadline to release v0.9.8.0 no later than April 27, 2026? |

@RussH I am currently working on a PHP 7.4 branch, which should also serve as a useful preparatory step toward PHP 8. I think it would make sense to include this branch in the v0.9.8.0 release as well. Would it be possible to merge PRs #754 and #755 in the near term so I can continue working on the PHP 7.4 branch on a clean basis? |

based on where we are I'll tag and generate a new 0.9.8 release, hopefully today. |

@RussH can you verify if upgrading and running migrations works for you on current master? |

When do we want to release v0.9.8.0?
I suggest to create a new release after merging up to #706 or #724.
Keep in mind that current version 0.9.7.4 still is vulnerable to CSRF and XSS.
