Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

We just want to get rid of the button as it leads to a splashthat page that no longer needs maintaining.

Describe the solution you'd like
A quick edit of the markdown for the landing page should do the trick.

Adding to this - a few items are needed for this update:

I'd like to see it taken off the Europe page
But, the OpenSearchCon landing page (https://opensearch.org/events/opensearchcon) should have it - and should be in the menu again. that's really the overview of OpenSearchCon (all) and where we link to all the archive pages.
We should modify the text of the landing page - I'm happy to write something for that. Or I can do a PR against that page.
Essentially the menu should have:
OpenSearchCon
-- Europe 2024 (https://opensearch.org/events/opensearchcon/2024/europe/index.html)
-- Overview (https://opensearch.org/events/opensearchcon)
-- Archive (as is already there)
Then as we build out the "North America 2024" & "India 2024" we can add them to the menu area accordingly

@krisfreedain @nateynateynate - Is this complete? Can I close this issue?
