We currently have the
style
property with options oftwo up, three up, four up, five up
to create columns inside of a section. We also have the
layout
property with options of1 | 2, 2 | 1, 1 | 3, 3 | 1
to create uneven columns (1/3 type layouts). This ONLY works when coupled with thestyle
property using thetwo up
option. I think this a little confusing and prone to mistakes for authors.I think having
1 | 2, 2 | 1, 1 | 3, 3 | 1
options for thestyles
property makes more sense and remove thelayout
property.Using the
|
notes the amount of columns.E.g.
1 | 2
is pretty easy to read as two columns, with the second column twice as big as the first. This simplifies what authors need to add to achieve those uneven columns.Does it make more sense to get rid of
two up, three up, four up, five up
options in favor of writing those options with|
?E.g.
1 | 1 | 1
would equate to 3 columns, all even widths.Thoughts? Concerns? Ideas?
