The idea in mind for the Hackathon is to scrap that data we have to build an AI bot to enhance the Slack workspace. We get people who join asking questions that might have already been answered. So an AI bot for questions

Hey AsyncAPI community! 👋
We’re exploring the idea of launching an AsyncAPI AI Hackathon—a virtual event designed to bring community builders and AI enthusiasts together to create groundbreaking solutions (or probably not so groundbreaking but cool and usable solutions)😉 at the intersection of AI and APIs. But before we finalize the details, we want your input!
Why an AsyncAPI AI Hackathon?
AI is more than a buzzing word; it is revolutionary. It’s safe to say that we want to follow the trend and the hype, but beyond that, we want to create AI-powered solutions with sufficient AsyncAPI data to help our community members. This hackathon aims to address that by focusing on:
Building AI-driven API solutions: explore new ways to integrate AI with APIs to solve real-world problems.
Enhancing AI models with quality data: AI is only as good as the data it learns from. We plan to create a training data bank. Scraping from all our existing data. We will need a lot of help with this.
Growing the AsyncAPI ecosystem: encouraging more developers to experiment with AsyncAPI in AI-driven applications.
Strengthening community collaboration: bringing together experts, learners, and innovators to build meaningful projects together.
How Can You Get Involved?
Idea Generation: What AI+API use cases would you like to see explored? Drop your suggestions below! Should we leave the project open for the participants to choose from or create a pool of project ideas to pick from?
Community Engagement: How can we make this hackathon as inclusive, engaging, and impactful as possible?
Marketing Strategy: Help us align our promotional efforts with real AI applications, ensuring this isn’t just about hype but about delivering real value to the community.
Next Steps
We’re in the planning phase, and your feedback will help shape the structure, themes, and focus areas of the hackathon. Once we finalize the format, we’ll share more details on:
🗓️ Event dates and duration
🎯 Hackathon themes and challenges
🏆 Prizes and incentives
🛠️ Tools and resources to help participants build their projects
Your thoughts, ideas, and feedback are important in making this hackathon a success! Drop your comments below, and let’s start shaping this event together. 🚀
PS: This is different from the AsyncAPI Mentorship Program and GSoC.
