How to randomise 2 or more pairs of variables

Dear Bonsai community,
I am working on a workflow to present visual stimuli of different properties (location along horizontal axis, locations along vertical axis, and perhaps duration in the future), and would like to vary the pairs of those variables independently. So far, I managed to create 2 CreateDiscreteUniform > Sample to randomise the pair of location along horizontal axis and vertical axis. However, since the variables have different length, I am not sure what would be the best way to count the combination of all of their elements.
In python I would use

from itertools import cycle
for this_variable1,this_variable2 in zip(variables1,cycle(variables2)):

to go through them. Could anyone give me some advice on this?

You can use a Take before the permutation if you want to be extra efficient. Otherwise this probably works for your use case:

Thanks for your quick response! I actually still dont know the difference between using Range > Permutation as opposed to CreateDiscreteUniform > Sample. It seems that both work in my case.
** Just to clarify, when adding Take, you probably meant after the Permutation. Otherwise, the Take will always emits the first element from Range, which is the starting element

Permutation operates in the sequence, you don't need indices. It shuffles the elements on the sequence themselves. The Take would go either before (if you only want the shuffle the first N elements of the sequence) or after (if you know a priori how many pairs you need).

Reading your issue I took it as a problem of drawing an index greater than the number of elements in one of the sequences. This saves you from that trouble.
