TabControl visualizer crashes when tab contains IPImageVisualizer

Hello,

I am working on a GUI with a lot of nested visualizers, and I have not been able to get it to display when I have an image mapped to a tab visualizer. I have attached a workflow with a simplified version of this GUI with three cases to recreate the error. This will run only when one of the three group workflows is enabled at a time.

1. Tab containing an image (Speaker Config group) is not the first tab. This is close to my desired layout. If I have a VisualizerWindow node after the TabControl or my layout file has the TabControl visualizer on, I get the error "Object reference not set to instance of an object." The visualizer crashes, but the workflow keeps running. If I open the visualizer again after this initial crash, it displays correctly.

2. Speaker Config tab is the first tab. This does not crash.

3. Speaker Config tab is the second tab as in (1), but is mapped to a TableLayoutPanel visualizer instead of a TabControl. This does not crash.

Are there any workarounds for this bug? I have tried delaying the subscription to various branches of the GUI, toggling the VisualizerWindow visibility property, and making the image to be displayed just a blank canvas, and I always get the same error.

Hi @rachelmcassidy thanks for reporting this! I was able to reproduce it, and I think it might be related to this: bonsai-rx/gui#45. I tried playing around with it to see if there was a workaround, but unfortunately wasn't able to come up with anything that you already found out.
