Bonvision timestamp

I am struggling to align Bonvision timestamp for a certain event to the computer timestamp, can anyone give me some insight? I unfortunately do not have a ttl or anything to align it to, I thought matching the timestamps was enough but I have no idea what the bonvision timestamp actually means.

Hi @rawanalsubaie can you provide a bonsai workflow? The bonvision timestamps as produced by the FrameEventLogger and LogEvent operator are on the same timescale; they have been "normalized" to the workflow start. If you are timestamping other events with other operators (like the Timestamp operator from Bonsai.Core) then they will use the computer timestamp, and it's not possible to align the two types of timestamps without setting up some kind of timestamp manipulation.

Thanks thats very helpful, here is a zip file with the current workflow, its currently logging 'true' for every time the mouse is detected and the stim is presented.

Hi @rawanalsubaie yep I see that you are using a mix of both the Bonsai.Core timestamp and Bonvision logging operators. You will want to use just the Bonvision logging operators to align everything to the index and timestamps of the rendered frames.

Each FrameEventLogger will set up a separate CSV file for the different events that you want to log, with different FileNames and different Names. You could add everything to one FrameEventLogger, but then it becomes harder to parse.

You then add a LogEvent to every event you want to parse, and assign them to different FrameEventLoggers by specifying a different Name for the event.

I am attaching the modified workflow, i changed things a bit to get them working on my machine to test, so do not just copy it wholesale, but just copy over the modifications.
