Williams Blaster has a 49-way joystick. On MAME, when you load Blaster and go to the in-game test setting using the advance switch, there is a setting where it shows all of the switches and which are being triggered- this includes the 6 switches for the 49-way, 3 for y axis and 3 for x axis, which are all properly working as they should if you have an analog controller hooked up. It also shows the 49 ways being shown in the attract mode. When you go to actually play the game, you can only move in 8 directions, although the switches were clearly being activated in the test settings. How is the 49-way not properly implemented in MAME? What could fix this?
