Is styled-components in maintenance mode? #5657

I think people saw that post and assumed that no work will ever happen on s-c again, let me be the first to say clearly that is not the case. The reality is that the tech industry norms have changed in recent years and the companies and clients I work for these days are not using styled-components, so I don't have a robust production setup anymore like I used to for testing and validation. Practically speaking, it makes it difficult for me to put the same level of time into the library aside from more obvious fixes and any required maintenance due to new React versions, etc. There have been a number of releases lately to fix/improve various things, for example. So please don't freak out, it's not abandonware ❤️ I am also looking for co-maintainers. It's a big responsibility given the size of the install base, but it would be legitimately helpful to get some fresh blood onto the team that actively uses the library and is interested in continuing library evolution. If you're interested in that, my X profile is |

Hello dear styled-components team,
First of all - thanks for all the work that you have been putting into the library over the years. We have been relying on your work and using styled-components with a great success for a long time.
We understood from your last year statement that the library is moved into maintenance mode https://opencollective.com/styled-components/updates/thank-you - this meant for us engineers, that there will be no further development of the library. Based on this information in my organization we decided to move away from styled-components, as it would put us at risk in a long run, as you might imagine. The migration for my org was a big decision as we have a lot of FE code that rely on styled-components. This also as you imagine presents us with a big cost. We already started the process of migration.
I would like to understand what is the status of styled-components right now. The announcement from last year pushed us to make this difficult decision and now we see that styled-components are getting new releases, seems like library is again in a development state?
I would really like to get some transparent information from main contributors of styled-components about the state of the library and if in fact you are in the maintenance mode, then please update your GitHub and documentation accordingly following your official statement from last year.
Thank you, I really count on your update on this matter.
