Schedule for Collaboration Café in 2026 !

On behalf of the Community Management Working Group, I would like to raise with the community the following topic for discussion and consultation.

The Collaboration Café has historically taken place on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month 3-5pm (UK time). We are thinking of moving this call one hour earlier (2-4pm UK time) as a trial in the beginning of 2026.

We are requesting input regarding:

• How is this change going to affect your participation at the Café? [ Positively / Negatively ]
• Any other suggestions to facilitate your participation in the Café?

We will be discussing this change at the upcoming Community Forum on 10th December, which is also our deadline for making a decision ☕

2pm would work great, while also allowing those at the other side of the pond to join more regularly ;)

East coast US here! 2pm UK is 9am here so it definitely still works for me from a "not ungodly hour" perspective and I'm supportive of us trialling a different time to see what impact it has on participation.

Personally, I don't know if it will affect my participation at the moment - if I can't come to the Collaboration Cafe it's because other meetings or deadlines have had to take priority :( For example, right now I have a regular meeting at 2pm on Wednesdays, but that may shift in 2026....

This change wouldn't make a big difference for me (UK time). It might be a little easier to defend the time as it will line up with Steering Group meetings

2pm UK is 6am Pacific which is clearly not going to work for 99% of people on the west coast of North America BUT it would make a really really big difference for me. I would much more confidently be able to join while Mackenzie is still asleep!

I've done a few 5am and 6am calls while in Canada (even one 4am!), and I've not actually hated it :D.
