In the current version, all tiles are calculated each time the map is instantiated.
Once the map is drawn, it would be great to be able to freeze it and avoid extra calculations every time it is loaded.
This could be especially interesting for larger maps.
Should we save the frozen map as a resource? Is it possible in Godot to save a copy of the modified display layer as an extra node in the editor? I am not sure how to achieve this yet, so it is open for discussion.
If someone is brave enough to try to implement a demo, it is definitely welcome.
