Re: WordPress Plugins and Themes with Known Issues

Priority: Medium

Issue Description

  • WooCommerce sets cookies which make responses uncacheable.
  • This is a known issue with the plugin which frequently causes performance issues and downtime for customers.

Suggested Resolution

  • Add another section to the known issues for WooCommerce about cart fragments. Here's some proposed text:

Issue 3: Cart fragments break caching on Pantheon's Global CDN. This may result in degraded performance and frequent 504 errors.

Solution: Disable cart fragments. This may be accomplished with a plugin such as Disable Cart Fragments or Perfmatters.
