Browser extensions or malicious apps might access the users local storage and read the secrets of the ephemeral accounts.

Remove the secrets of the ephemeral accounts completely. Instead, create more signed backup transactions with other nonces to reduce the risk of funds getting inaccessible on one of the ephemeral accounts.
