I'm not sure where this should go, but the issue arose when our designer was not able to run make designerhappy in Patternslib/pat-editor, because he did not have node installed. The Makefile expects npm to be on the path.
We need to have a section in the documentation for designers on how to set up their machine. The current Installation section is overkill for a designer.
