Matrix Gateway: silently breaks when room is upgraded

• ejabberd version: 25.10-1
• Erlang version: erl +V

Erlang/OTP 27 [erts-15.2.6] [source] [64-bit] [smp:4:4] [ds:4:4:10] [async-threads:1] [jit]

Eshell V15.2.6 (press Ctrl+G to abort, type help(). for help)

Not sure which of the version numbers is relevant.

• OS: Linux (Debian)
• Installed from: official deb

Configuration (only if needed): grep -Ev '^$|^\s*#' ejabberd.yml

No errors

Bug description

Matrix Gateway silently breaks when room is upgraded to, in this case, v12. The previous room version had been v10.

Messages no longer arrive.

Huh, seems restarting ejabberd made it work again. But that should not be necessary.
