Project maintenance

Hi,

I'm creating this issue just to inform that - on my repository fork those who are still interested in using this project will soon find an updated version. 
As this project is used widely in my projects, I needed to pull up some dependencies. Code base requires min PHP8

If anyone is interested, the early version should show at the beginning of january.
