EPUB and MOBI are supported. Other formats need conversion to one of the two, sorry. You may consider contacting our MuPDF team via this Discord channel and see what they have to say - MuPDF is PyMuPDF's base library and as such responsible for support of document types. I do know that the e-book manager Calibre supports all kinds of conversions between different formats. |

You could write a MuPDF Document handler to open azw3 files. That's not something the core team is likely to have time for any time soon, but this is open source, so anyone can do it... |

It would be nice to have a single library to open all PDF and ebook formats. (py)muPDF looked like the ideal candidate... until I discovered it cannot do AZW3 (unlocked) kindle books. Only MOBI works
is there any workaround?
