I wish I could give a more precise title, but I simply don't have the information with which to do so.
The BeagleBone Black is connected via a USB cable and adapter that I've confirmed support data transfer. The board works fine (boots to eMMC when powered on without S2 being pressed). I open the app, click the USB Mass Storage button, enter my password, hold down the S2 button on the board while powering it on, and… nothing happens. The app just continues to say to press S2, and only the power light on the board lights up. Clearly the app is failing to boot the board, but as far as I can tell there's no diagnostic output to help figure out where exactly the process is breaking down.
