Nobody can remember whether 1 is the most deprived or 5 is. Indicate this somehow, perhaps with a blue to red fade of background colour?

we are using pink for low IMD (1st decile - most deprived) blue for highest (10th decile - least deprived) in England, red -> green in wales. Those grades do no map the RCPCH colours for deprivation though which are defined in the graphs.

RCPCH defined colors go from blue to red (1 decile, most deprived) with associated labels
