Highlighted images do not show in Obsidian

Although the URL seems to be formatted the same way as the book cover image, highlighted images do not show in Obsidian and are not accessible when I past the URL into a browser. The book cover image does show and also works in a browser.
I have tried adding in an image description instead of the automatic blank, but that has no affect. I believe this is a permissions problem with the S3 bucket. The highlighted images are key to reading these highlights and notes and not having them included makes syncing to Obsidian useless for any item with highlighted images.

I believe this is because Readwise does not mirror the images on highlight - it just hotlinks them.
