Hiya

Looking pretty positive, in esxi 6.7u2, but can't get the speed right.
Web gui won't allow manually set speed 1000-full, but will allow 100-full or 2500-full.
Doesn't negotiate 1000-full with multiple different switches, only gets 100-full.
Can't test with 2.5g switch, don't have one.

So nearly there...
It'd be great to have a CLI command to set speed-duplex.
(Yeah & I'd like a 2.5g switch, but...!)

Did you ever get this to work? I'm only getting about 1 mbps in Windows (unusable) whereas the esxi host is able to pull the full 2.5 gbps.

No I gave up, so it's in the "eBay it one day" box.
I ended up with the RTL8111F m.2 card instead.
It's gigabit, not 2.5g, but the drivers are there for esxi, so it works.
There's a bit of fudging I had to do to get the lenovo to recognise it (actually for the BIOS to ignore the error message) because it's not a wireless card on the approved list, but that's well documented elsewhere.
Does work though & is gigabit.

I'll give it a few days of trying then give up. I don't really need a windows VM as I have a windows desktop. It was just a "nice to have" Thank you.
