I can't seem to find the license for this code. From http://choosealicense.com/no-license [1]:

You’ll have to check with your own legal counsel regarding your particular project, but generally speaking, the absence of a license means that default copyright laws apply. This means that you retain all rights to your source code and that nobody else may reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from your work.

Did you intend for this code to be open source? If so, can you upload a license, or point me to it?

I think that someone should write to the author (Stéphane Lescuyer stephane.lescuyer@inria.fr) to ask him to add an open source license. BTW, since there seems to be interest in this library, we could consider moving it to coq-community. See https://github.com/coq-community/manifesto.

@siddharthist I suppose you never got an answer from the author? It's possible that the Inria e-mail address isn't valid anymore if they left Inria. Googling for this name, I found the other address stephane.lescuyer@provenrun.com, which must have been valid at least in 2015 (http://www.provenrun.com/about/research-papers/).

Maybe we should wait some more before trying some other way, but the next step could be to contact Evelyne Contejean who was Stéphane Lescuyer's PhD advisor. She might know where to write.

@StekiKun: Could you add a license to the project like you said you would? This is the only thing blocking the transfer of containers to coq-community.

@StekiKun: Any chance you take care of this? You basically just have to tell us which license you want to apply on your work. E.g. the MIT license is a pretty standard choice nowadays, but it could also be any of MPL 2.0, LGPL 3.0+, GPL 3.0+ if you prefer a copyleft license.
