chat/slate editor: there is no way to upload and insert an image (instead you must drag-n-drop or paste) #7750

I just wanted to insert a png from my computer into chat, but I can't find a button or link any more to do this.

Well, for drag&drop I have to open the file explorer, switch desktops, and find the screenshot file. That's tedious. I also can't "paste" a screenshot, it's a file that's saved in a directory.

Click the very first icon on the left, labeled "+" and the second option is image:

which explains drag n drop and paste:

I think that with the slate editor there is no upload dialog selector -- it is not implemented.

In the Markdown source editor after you type at least one character, there is an upload link:
