What's wrong?

while I'm gaming I'll switch to turbo mode and cpu boost to aggressive then sometimes my GPU fans becomes completely off/ stay at 2900 rpm and will not increase no matter if the temps go as high as 75C.
The Windows Energy saver mode is off.This gpu fan issue is a hassle if it caps at 2900 rpm i had to restart the laptop to keep the fans running on the custom fan curve.

again after gaming if I switch it back to the balanced or silent mode the CPU boost sometimes remains aggressive.

and also sometimes if I switch from silent to turbo to start gaming the Windows power mode option remains at Best power efficiency even though I set it for best performance at Turbo.

How to reproduce the bug?

same as mentioned above if im gonna game ill switch to turbo mode from silent and notices that sometimes the windows power mode haven't changed to best performance as I've set and the gu fans not turning on or even though it turns on it caps out at 2900rpm and I have to either resatrt the device or uncheck custom fan curve option to keep it running/ stop it from boiling.

again after gaming I have noticed when I toggle to silent or balanced mode the CPU boost just remains at aggressive as I set on turbo mode and changing to disabled.

@frozennutzz hello, I see in the log that app is changing a Power Plan to default Balanced from something unknown

1/29/2025 5:40:44 PM: Power Plan 27fa6203-3987-4dcc-918d-748559d549ec -> 381b4222-f694-41f0-9685-ff5bb260df2e :OK
1/29/2025 10:59:31 AM: Power Plan 64a64f24-65b9-4b56-befd-5ec1eaced9b3 -> 381b4222-f694-41f0-9685-ff5bb260df2e :OK

By googling GUIDs 27fa6203-3987-4dcc-918d-748559d549ec and 64a64f24-65b9-4b56-befd-5ec1eaced9b3 they seem to be a power plans from Armoury Crate. Which means you have some leftover from Armoury Crate running and setting power plan to it's own (and with a good chance changing other stuff too)

  • Did you uninstall AC using official Uninstaller tool ?
  • Check windows Task Manager for any processes containing "asus" in the name ?
