Message sounds while recording voice messages in active chat

• I am using Signal-Desktop as provided by the Signal team, not a 3rd-party package.

Overall summary

When I record a voice message on Signal Desktop, incoming messages from the recipient trigger the ‘bubble’ sound, even though I am already in the same conversation. This causes the voice message to capture the loud notification sound, which is both disruptive and frustrating.

A similar issue exists on Signal for Android, for which I opened an issue here. This does not happen on iOS.

Steps to reproduce

1. Go to any chat
2. Start recording a voice message
3. The other person messages you while you're recording the voice message
4. The bubble sound plays

Expected result

Incoming message sounds from the same chat I'm already in should be muted while recording voice messages.

Actual result

Incoming message sounds while recording a voice message in the same exact chat cause disruption and frustration.
