Thanks for your work on this. I'm very much looking forward to stable release as it would unlock the obstacle for GitLab & GitHub to add support for sigstore.

Is there a target timeline for 1.0 release?

There's no target timeline, I'd like to wait until there's at least one project using it in a shipped release to confirm the API is solid, but it'd definitely usable at the current version! It's passing all the sigstore & TUF conformance tests

As another datapoint: my plan is to integrate this into Homebrew in the medium-term. That should be a good production adoption test-drive.
