Voice assistant says “Hi, Happy here” then disconnects without recording #878
Description
On the mobile app, the voice assistant appears to start but never actually records or transcribes anything.
Steps to reproduce
Open the Happy mobile app.
Tap the sound‑wave / voice assistant icon.
The app plays the greeting “Hi, Happy here”.
Start speaking normally.
Expected behavior
The app should continue listening after the greeting, capture my speech, and send a transcription / request to Claude.
Actual behavior
I hear “Hi, Happy here” and then the assistant seems to immediately disconnect going back to waveform logo
No waveform reacts to my voice, no text is transcribed, and nothing is sent to Claude.
The UI returns to its idle state as if I never spoke.
What I’ve already tried
Confirmed microphone permission is enabled for Happy in system settings.
Turned mic permission off/on again.
Fully uninstalled and reinstalled the app, re‑granted mic permission on first launch.
Verified that system‑level dictation (e.g. in Notes/Messages) works fine on the same device.
