lesson 6 hardhat-gas-reporter doesn't get eth price

hardhat.config is like this

  gasReporter: {
    enabled: true,
    outputFile: "gas-reporter.txt",
    noColors: true,
    currency: "USD",
    coinmarketcap: COINMARKETCAP_API_KEY,
  },

and em using the free coinmarketcap api key,
howerver, when i run hardhat test, the reporter doesn't show up usd cost

and when i check on the coinmarketcap to see api call usage, it ends up empty,
seems like the api call failed.
dose anyone have this kind of issue? is it a network problem?

@Dos-leg Are you using the updated version of Hardhat? The updated version uses the hardhat-toolbox plugin instead of the hardhat-waffle. Maybe be due to the outdated version causing this issue.

@dominicjin No problem mate! I cloned the repository you shared and got it to show the price in the gas-reportError.txt file. First I have enabled the outputFile property, leaving the code like this:

gasReporter: {
        enabled: true,
        outputFile: "gas-reportError.txt",
        noColors: true,
        currency: "USD",
        // token: "MATIC",
        coinmarketcap: COINMARKET_API_KEY,
        L1: "ethereum",
        L1Etherscan: ETHERSCAN_API_KEY,
    }

After that, in the package.json, in the devDependencies I have changed the version of the hardhat-gas-reporter to

"hardhat-gas-reporter": "^2.2.2",

With this, it only remains to run the tests and this has generated me the gas-reportError.txt with the corresponding prices.

@Dos-leg Thanks for help! I copy the code and update my gas-reporter version to 2.2.2, but it's still not work. And I also check my API request in CoinMarketCup, it shows 0 request.

@dominicjin That's weird, there must be something wrong with the CoinMarketCap API because entering mine and with those changes it works.
