Need Sepolia ETH for Testing Smart Contracts

Hey everyone! 👋

I’m currently working on Solidity development and need some Sepolia ETH to deploy and test smart contracts on the Sepolia Testnet. Unfortunately, the faucets I’ve tried (Infura, Chainlink) require Ethereum Mainnet history or LINK, which I don’t have.

If anyone has extra Sepolia ETH, I’d really appreciate a small amount to my wallet: 0x5219477Db0EdC5C3C7a6fc1211919360272E99B6 🙏.

This is a real bummer for me too.
I have not found a way to get unlimited free Sepolia myself but have come across websites that don't have this prerequisite:

Optimism faucet: https://console.optimism.io/faucet
Google cloud faucet: https://cloud.google.com/application/web3/faucet/ethereum/sepolia

They have daily limit to Sepolia Ethereum but hey, at least it doesn't require Mainnet link.

So guys I have a conclusion to this. These faucets aren't enough for testing purposes, let alone deployment.

What instead you can do is use Ganache locally and connect metamask to it.
Try this out and this will fix your problem completely:

Yeah, but since these are local networks, I don't think any oracle is monitoring these. So to make API calls to an address on sepolia testnet for example, it won't work.

yeah, this is just for testing out the contracts, not for deployment.

What instead you can do is use Ganache locally and connect metamask to it.

Patrick even shows how to set it up. But given the current state of ganache (it is deprecated), the best you can have is a local Blockchain node running on Hardhat (hardhat node). Patrick also showcased the procedure.
