See similar effort over at pawamoy/copier-uv#24. In addition to automatically updating the template over there and waiting in copier-python CI until the bump is successful, it would also be good to test VSCode-specific features in a contrib workflow. So, launch VSCode in CI and run interactive features like Tasks. Maybe this can be done by leveraging the .devcontainer config? See also https://github.com/EcksDy/vscode-version-matrix if that helps.
