Display client names in time view

We have a lot of clients, and we have a "maintenance" project on each one.

Currently, only the project name is displayed on the time view, and I don't know how to display the client name.

The result is some confusing list of time entries:

I think it could be really useful to be able to display the client name, like this:

Being able to display the task could also be really appreciated.

Came here looking for this request. We don't have a lot of clients but we do have multiple project names that are the same/similar and it was very useful in Clockify to have the client/category name shown with the time entry.

Hi! I ran into the same problem — multiple clients with identically-named projects (e.g. several "Maintenance" projects) make the time view hard to read at a glance.

I've implemented a solution for this on my fork. It shows the client name as a second line right below the project name in the project/task selector, styled as smaller, muted text. Since that selector is the same component used across the whole app, the client name now shows up consistently everywhere the project appears: the time entry list (individual and aggregated rows), the create/edit/mass-update modals, the dashboard timer bar, the timesheet grid, and the command palette:

The change is fully contained in the TimeTrackerProjectTaskDropdown component — no API, model, or data-layer changes needed, since the client list is already passed to it. It resolves the client from the selected project's client_id and renders nothing extra when a project has no client (or "No Project" is selected), so single-client setups and the empty state look exactly as before.
