Is there any particular reason why the build-test workflow doesn't also tag/release/preserve compiled artifacts, as well as test results?

The purpose of the build/test cycle is to prove the code against unit and functional tests to ensure that a developer will be able to build the code for their local platform. Every commit on master and other feature branches are therefore fully tested, but we don't want to bless any particular commit as a release.

Currently if a developer wants to get up and running with nmos-cpp without building locally there is the Easy NMOS docker container. Also the nmos-cpp library can be included in developments as a Conan package
